Respiratory

Animals with respiratory problems are commonly seen in veterinary practice. Signs such as cough, respiratory efforts, high respiratory frequency, nasal discharge and nosebleeds are symptoms of various diseases such as pneumonia, bronchitis, tumours and foreign bodies, in which a specialized equipment for diagnosis and treatment is needed. Morover, Brachiocephalic breeds such as bulldogs, boxers or pugs have very specific respiratory diseases caused by their anatomical conformation. Small breeds like the Yorkshire Terrier or Pomeranian are predisposed to tracheal collapse which can have a major impact in their quality of life. It has also been observed an incidence increase in feline asthma, which is the most common respiratory problem in cats. All these diseases require rapid attention and very specific treatments.
